The Viking Society was 50 years old this year. To celebrate this, the society staged a huge viking and saxon festival at Locko Park in Derbyshire.
The public event lasted for a whole week and included a huge living history encampment, many skirmishes and battles, archery displays, cavalry and traders. It was truly a marvellous thing to be part of!
